The first step to make these is to gather all your tools and ingredients.

Marshmallow Frosting

Tools Needed:

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Hand or Stand Mixer
  • Spatulas
  • Mixing Spoons
  • Measuring Cups / Spoons
  • Stovetop
  • Saucepan
  • Piping bag and Tip (optional)

Ingredients Needed:

  • 1 cup of Kate’s Safe & Sweet Vanilla Frosting Mix
  • 1/2 cup of butter of your choice (softened)
  • 1/2 cup marshmallows

  1. Melt marshmallows over low-medium heat on the stovetop, stirring continuously.  You want to assure you don’t burn the marshmallow. Once melted remove from heat.
  2. In a large mixing bowl beat the softened butter of your choice and the melted marshmallow together on medium speed.  Mix until well blended.
  3. Beat in frosting mix adding your safe milk, a few drops at a time, until your desired consistency and the mixture is light and fluffy.

You can spread or pipe the frosting onto the cupcakes or cake.

This frosting would be delicious to dip fresh strawberries into as well.  We also have plans to this onto chocolate cupcakes to make hot cocoa cupcakes and adding into s’mores brownies too. Stay tuned for those recipes in the future.
