Mother’s Day Card for Kids

Mother’s Day is just around the corner and we wanted to share a simple and fun card craft with you that can be made using supplies you most likely have on hand at home and cupcake liners.

I don’t know about you but I tend to collect cupcake liners, so this was a fun way to use some of the more coloring ones we had in our cupboard. My (7 year old) daughter enjoyed making these cards and was something she could do solo without much assistance. My 2 year old son wasn’t so apt to participate in this project… instead he just wanted to pull apart the cupcake liners and toss them onto the floor (oh the joys of a 2 year old!)

Here is a final look at the cards we made and hop down below to download the free flower pot template with instructions and a few photos of the step-by-step directions.

We had a good time choosing different colored papers, liners, and pom moms.

Below we are sharing some simple step-by-step in process photos:

We enjoyed making these cards and also made one for my daughter’s teacher for teacher appreciation week and instead of writing Mom on the front and Happy Mother’s Day on the inside we wrote her name and a special message to her.

Click on the above flower pot template or here to download your copy to print and have fun making this adorable card with your children! If you make these with your kids be sure to tag us on social media @katessafeandsweet.

Hope you have Safe & Sweet Mother’s Day!
